The Disability Rights Movement Exhibition was on
the second floor of the National Museum of American History. The exhibit
was just left of the large open area at the Mall side entrance, and between
the Greensboro Lunch Counter Exhibit and the Field to Factory Exhibit.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily; closed December 25. Admission is
free. The Museum's work is ongoing to ensure that programs, exhibitions,
and facilities are fully accessible to people with disabilities. Building
entrances, exhibition areas, performance spaces, and most rest rooms accommodate
wheelchairs users. For information about building accessibility and program
accommodations, or for further Smithsonian information, call 202-633-1000
(voice) or 202-357-1729 (TTY).
