This is one-half of a metal handcuff. It is an oval shaped ring, and the base has been cut away from the other half of the handcuff. The two sides would have been joined with small strong, steel links. The ring shown here has a hole for a key and a small latch on one side of the rim and a hinge for adjusting the tightness on the opposite side. The silver metal is hard, smooth, and shiny.
