Hey   Kids!

Marilyn Hamilton, shown in this picture, invented the wheelchair you see. She wanted to participate in sports, and this chair allowed her to play tennis. It was the fastest, lightest, and easiest-moving chair of its time.

She started her own company to make these lightweight chairs for other people to use. But even with all these accomplishments, Marilyn still can't go to a lot of movies and restaurants or visit some of her friends, because there aren't always ramps and elevators and doors wide enough for her chair. Do you think that is fair?
