About the Kiosks

Kiosks developed by NCR Corporation and isSound Corporation, with access technology developed by the Trace Research and Development Center under funding from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.

These kiosks were developed especially for the exhibition by a team of experts from information technology companies around the country. They contain all of the information from the exhibition - in alternative formats.

Such kiosks are inexpensive and can be used at many different establishments, including museums, libraries, universities, department stores, and shopping malls. Methods of providing access have barely been explored and need only be prompted by our inventiveness and desire for an inclusive society.
