This policy references IDEAL Group, Inc. (including all of its subsidiary companies), as “IDEAL Group Companies (IGC)”. This policy covers IGC websites, products, and services. This privacy policy describes how IGC uses and protects any information that you provide to them. They are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If you provide them with personal information, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, IGC websites collect non-personally identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. IGC’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how their visitors use their websites.
IGC also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. IGC does not use IP addresses to identify their visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that they use and disclose personally-identifying information, as described below.

Certain visitors to IGC websites interact in ways that require IGC to gather personally-identifying information. Such is the case when users purchase InftyReader software from InftyReader Group, Inc. The amount and type of information gathered depends on the product or service being purchased.
In each case, IGC collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with IGC websites, products, and services. IGC does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

IGC discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that need to know that information in order to process orders for IGC products and services. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country. IGC will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, IGC discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, if you give permission to have your information shared, or when IGC believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of IGC, third parties, or the public at large.
If you are a IGC customer, and have supplied your email address, IGC may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, products, services, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with IGC and its products and services.

IGC will not use the information you provide when you register for IGC accounts, attend its events, receive newsletters, or use any of their products and services.

IGC may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to their websites. For instance, IGC may reveal how many times a particular version of software was downloaded or report on which plugins are the most popular. However, IGC does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described in this policy.
